State of Himachal Pradesh in Indian-Himalayas is a home of many Scenic Valleys, from Lush green Jungles to Barren Lands. One of The Most Scenic Valley out of them is "Spiti Valley".

The word 'Spiti' stands for "The Middle Land", lying between India and Tibet. It is a Remote land and Cold Desert, cut off from the mainland India from November to May due to heavy Snowfall. 'Kaza' is the Sub Divisional headquarters, situated along with the "Spiti River" at an altitude of 12,500 Feet (3800 Meters).

"Spiti Himalayan Adventure" Motorcycle Tour is designed to explore beautiful Himalayan Valleys, Kullu Valley, Spiti Valley and Lahaul Valley. You will ride through Greener Valleys to No Vegetation (Barren) Valley and again to Greener Valleys. Though the route would be a mix of Paved and Unpaved roads but would be a real Adventure Motorcycle Tour in India-Himalaya.

You will be living the real Culture of Spiti Himalaya - Buddhism Life, Monasteries, Villages, 'Gaddi', the Sheep and Goat Herders lifestyle in Himalayas, how 'Gaddi' migrates every year with their Huge Cattle from Lower Himalayas to Higher Himalayas and back ?

The Major attractions of the Motorcycle Trip in Spiti-Himalaya would be crossing two High Mountain Passes - Rohtang Pass, 13054 Feet (3900 Meters), which connects Kullu Valley to Lahaul Valley and Kunzum Pass, 15059 Feet (4590 Meters), which connects Lahaul Valley to Spiti Valley. Chandratal Lake - a Scenic High-Altitude Lake in Himalayas, on the route from Kaza to Tandi.

Day 1 Delhi - Manali (Overnight Bus Journey)

The Assembly Venue & Time to Board into AC Volvo Bus at Delhi will be Communicated well in advance. The Bus Departs in Evening so you are Requested to arrive Delhi either one night Prior or early morning of Tour Departure Date. Sand2Snow Adventure's Representative will receive
you at Bus Station and will help you to board into the correct Bus. This Overnight Journey to Manali would be very comfortable in AC Semi Sleeper Bus.

Day 2 Manali (Rest & Ride Practice Day)

Reach Manali in Morning. Check into a Comfortable Hotel and take rest till afternoon. Have delicious Lunch and Get Motorbikes to have a small Ride in Hills and have a Ride briefing session. You will meet your Tour Captain and rest of CREW Members today. Please listen the Ride Briefing Notes very carefully. Evening Free & Night Stay in Hotel.

Day 3 Manali - Jibhi 100 Kms.

After having Breakfast, will ride along with the Bias River. After crossing Aut village will leave Bias and ride along with more Greener and Beautiful villages. Arrive Jibhi, a small village situated in the Tirthan Valley. Check into riverside Guesthouse / Camp. Today we will have a practice of Off road riding here to get use to of your Motorbike & the terrain that you will ride later in the tour.

Day 4 Jibhi - Kalpa 200 Kms.

Today is the day to cross first High Pass. Leave Jibhi village in morning and ride along the Great Himalayan National Park, cross the stunning, but steep Jalori pass (10,800 feet) through scenic Deodhar Jungle. Now time to focus on skilled riding, road will not be so easy to take us on Top. After crossing the Jalori pass, we ride along the Sutlej River on the famous India-Tibet Highway. Till Kalpa it offers a Tarmac road with good riding conditions and beautiful views. Kalpa, a small town famous for the delicious Kinnaur Apples. Kalpa offers a breathtaking view of one of the Holiest Mountains in India - Kinner Kailash.

Day 5 Kalpa - Nako 100 Kms.

Have breakfast and start riding along Sutlej river in a narrow valley. Great stretches of Dirt tracks and Water crossings will be there to be defeated by the Riders today. Later will enter the barren land of Spiti Valley. You will see a great change in the Landscape from lush green to rocky, and then to barren. Stay tonight in Swiss tents in the small but old time Nako Village, near the Nako Lake.

Day 6 Nako - Kaza (Via Dhankar) 120 Kms.

Today is an easy riding day to Kaza. We will spend day to visit Monasteries and have some rest to regain the energy. Visit Tabo monastery (10,010 feet) famed for its vast collection of frescoes and stucco paintings. Also visit Dhankar monastery (12,774 feet), one of the oldest monasteries in the world. The monastery is overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin rivers. Suggested to take rest in the afternoon and have some walk in evening. Stay for the night.

Day 7 Kaza - Hikkim - Komic - Kaza 45 Kms.

Capital of the Spiti region, 'Kaza' is situated at an Altitude of 12,500 Feet. We will see the Highest altitude villages in the world Hikkim (14,400 feet) and Komic (14,830 feet). The village of Hikkim has the highest Post Office in the world (Pin Code 172114). You may send a mail to your loved ones as a souvenir of your Spiti Himalayan Adventure. Visit the beautiful Ki Gompa (aka Kee, Key), the largest monastery in Spiti. Ride back to Kaza and stay for the Day.

Day 8 Kaza - Chandratal 90 Kms.

Today we will ride to cross Kunzum La (15,059 feet) - 4590 Meters , the highest Altitude of the Spiti Himalayan Ride. Enjoy the magnificient views of Himalayan Mountain range from the Pass and ride on a dirt track to reach Chandratal lake. Since vehicles are not allowed near the lake, so ready to hike for 30 minutes to get this Scenic Himalayan lake. Stay for the night in Swiss tents and enjoy the Night sky with million starts.

Day 9 Chandratal - Tandi 95 Kms.

Today will be the mix of rough section as well as smooth tarmac roads. In the start of the ride, will be doing off road riding and many water crossing. Be stick to your Handlebars and ensure full control over your Motorbike. At Gramphu, will join the Manali - Leh National Highway. Now the lush green landscapes will welcome you till very beautiful village Tandi. Tandi is a scenic village, offers a breathtaking view of confluence of Chandra and Bhaga Rivers. Stay in Camps / Cottages for the Night.

Day 10 Tandi - Manali 110 Kms.

Today will ride back to Manali. Riding along with river in Lahaul valley would be wonderful experience. A little stretch, before getting up to Rohtang pass would be off road and water crossings, later would be fantastic tarmac road till Manali. The sight of lush green Himalayan mountains and waterfalls would be breathtaking. Reach Manali, the popular hill station in the Himalayas. We will have a small Ride Celebration party in the evening. Rest for the Night in Hotel.

Day 11 Manali - Delhi (Bus Journey)

Have Breakfast and board into AC Volvo Bus to Start Journey along with River Bias to get down hills Finally. Reach Delhi Safely and Proceed further for your individual Destinations. Tour Concludes with Happy Memories.

Any entry fees, any tips, porter/ pony charges or any other expenses incurred by the participants during the sightseeing trips, other than as clearly mentioned within the Inclusions and Itinerary.
Any extra costs incurred due to extension/ change of the itinerary due to natural calamities, road blocks, Rescue or Evacuation, Vehicle breakdown etc. factors beyond our control.
